Community Banking Day 2020

COMMUNITY BANKING DAY 2020
MAY 13, 2020
OHIO STATEHOUSE

Advocating for Ohio’s community banks at the state and federal level is one of CBAO’s top priorities. And, we’re encouraged to see that our advocacy efforts are making an impact. Throughout our conversations in Ohio and DC over the last year, we heard from many members of each chamber that they valued us as a resource to understand the impact of legislation on the constituents in their respective districts.

However, it is critically important for our legislators to also hear first-hand from community bankers about the effects of burdensome legislation. This is where Community Banking Day comes in.

Each year CBAO organizes Community Banking Day, a one-day event 100% dedicated to giving community bankers the opportunity to be heard by Ohio’s legislators. We coordinate meetings with the Ohio General Assembly and Division of Financial Institutions so community bankers can have one-on-one conversations with their districts’ representatives. This is your chance to give a first-hand account of the impacts of legislation and your recommendations for meaningful relief.

Your voice WILL make a difference for community banking - will you share it? Join us in Columbus!
