Robert J. Darling 

Lt. Col. USMC (Retired)

Lt. Col. “Bob” Darling flew attack helicopters in Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the first Gulf War and in Somalia, Africa, in support of Operation Restore Hope.  In June 1998, he was selected to fly as a presidential pilot with Marine Helicopter Squadron One for President Clinton.  In October 2000, he was handpicked to work for the White House Military Office, Airlift Operations Department. 

It was in that capacity that he supported the Vice President, National Security Advisor, and the National Command Authority, from inside the President’s Emergency Operations Center, within the White House on September 11, 2001.

Today Bob is the author of “24 Hours Inside the President’s Bunker, 9/11/01: The White House” and the President and CEO of Turning Point Crisis Management-USA, a crisis leadership training and consulting company located in Stafford, Virginia.

Kevin R. Allard

Kevin R. Allard serves as Superintendent of the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions, where he is responsible for the supervision and regulation of Ohio-chartered banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations, and savings banks; the licensing of money transmitters conducting business in Ohio; and licensure of non-depository financial service providers, including check cashers, credit service organizations, mortgage brokers, mortgage loan originators, pawnbrokers, premium finance companies, short-term lenders, small loan act lenders, and mortgage loan lenders.

Kevin has been involved in supervision and regulation for over 30 years, beginning his career as a field examiner in 1986 with the former Division of Savings and Loan Associations, later being appointed as Chief Examiner for Banks and Savings Institutions.  From 2011 to 2017, Kevin served as Deputy Superintendent for Banks and as Deputy Superintendent for Savings and Loan Associations and Savings Banks.  

From June 2016 to the present, Kevin served as a representative on the State Liaison Committee of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Task Force on Supervision.   Since 2016 he has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS) and currently is Vice Chairman.

Kevin is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League, Bank Leadership Institute and is also past Chairman and trustee for the Institute for Supervisory Education.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron in May 1985.

Tim McPeak is an executive risk management consultant at Sageworks, where he advises on risk and portfolio management with financial institutions nationwide. Previous to his current position, Tim led Sageworks’ strategic partnership program, through which the company partners with consulting, loan review, accounting, and other professional services firms. Before joining Sageworks in 2011, Tim spent several years as an associate with investment banking firm Babcock & Brown, focusing on commercial real estate and infrastructure finance. Tim began his career in retail and business banking with Key Bank of New York. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University.

Todd is the Founder and President of Taylor Advisors, a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. Todd has spoken at numerous state and national conferences on balance sheet management, bank investments, and risk management, including the AICPA National Conference on Banking and Credit Unions in Washington, D.C. He has written several articles for banking magazines and Sheshunoff publications on capital, liquidity, investments and more.

John Menefee

He is responsible for underwriting strategy, product development, and strategic initiatives related to CyberRisk. John is recognized as an industry expert, frequently speaking at national conferences and industry events. He lives with his wife and two children in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tracey Santor

Tracey is the product manager for all Financial Institution bonds for Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance.  She is an honors graduate from North Texas State University with a degree in English. She earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation in 1995, her Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonds in 1996 and her Associate in Claims in 1990. She has served as the Chairman of the SFAA Fidelity Claims advisory board, a Director on the Surety Claims Institute board, and an editor for the Fidelity Law Association newsletter, as well as having been the president of the Fidelity Law Association. She has also served as the fidelity chair for the Torts and insurance Practices Section of the American Bar Association. Tracey is the current Chairman of the Fidelity Advisory Committee for the Surety Fidelity Association of America and on the executive committee of the Fidelity Law Association.

Jim Nowak

Jim holds a B.S. degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University in MN.  Prior to joining United Bankers’ Bank (UBB) in early 2002, Jim gained eight years of experience in the fields of Asset Liability Management and economic forecasting.  During his banking career, he has worked for financial institutions as large as $5 billion in assets.  Jim developed and manages ALMEdge®, UBB’s asset/ liability modeling product.  This product is currently used by over 250 community banks in 14 states. Jim hosts an annual users group conference which regularly draws over 200 community banker’s from around the U.S.  Jim is a former member of the faculty at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he taught courses in Asset/Liability Management.  Jim is an economics columnist for the Great Lakes Banker Magazine and is a guest commentator for local news outlets such as Fox9 news and WCCO radio on matters of finance and economics.  Jim is a regular on the national speaking circuit for many banking and industry associations and events.  He specializes in the topics of risk management and economics.

Ben Hayden

Ben oversees a staff of security consultants, helping member institutions mitigate risks in information technology, cybersecurity, physical security and BSA/ACH compliance. Before joining SHAZAM, Ben worked for one of Iowa’s largest community banks as their BSA/Security Officer. Prior to banking, Ben served as a police officer, where he focused on financial crimes and digital forensics investigations. Ben is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMSR) and is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. He also holds certificates in cyber investigations/forensics and active-shooter investigations. Ben is a veteran of the United State Marine Corps. He served two tours of duty in Iraq before leaving military service.

He has become a thought leader in the UX field through his design experience and innovative approach to solving complex challenges. The design methodology he created, “UX Distilling,” is used by design and UX professionals around the world and has been featured by industry leaders including IBM and InVision. Daniel has provided consulting services to global enterprise companies in the financial services, construction, and travel industries, enabling them to actualize their goals of a delightful digital experience.
