Jason Hartschuh is an Agriculture Extension Educator in Crawford County Ohio. He focuses on profitable Livestock and agronomic crop production utilizing research and many of the experiences he has had on his family’s grain and dairy farm to help others improve their operation. He works with many seasoned large farms but also helps small farms getting started to have a plan and understand production challenges before they face them to stay financially solvent. While increasing yields is great for the coffee shop, improving balance sheets through a better understand of financial numbers is what keeps us farming for another year. He also conducts on-farm research around his county to help find solutions to complex problems utilizing both yields and profit to determine the best solution.
