Handling the Rate Shopper

Each interaction with a customer is an opportunity to assist the customer with a financial need. The conversation with those who are shopping for Certificate of Deposit rates needs to be consultative not simply a rate quote. The competition for deposit funds is too great to quote the rate and move on to the next customer. Handling the Rate Shopper will focus on how to take this inquiry to a current or future fulfillment of a customer’s needs.
This session will contain workshopping however there will not be sharing of ideas. Instead the facilitator will provide the participants with suggested scripting and best practice ideas for workshop outcomes.

Cynthia Griffith serves as Performance Results Network Director and Senior Results Consultant for Community Banks at Cohen Brown Management Group, Inc. With her entire professional career in the financial-services industry, Griffith motivates her clients to reach new levels of leadership, service, and sales.
A graduate of the University of Akron, Griffith spent 25 years with United National Bank. As Director of Sales, Griffith was responsible for leading the bank’s sales process with particular focus in retail banking, consumer and business call centers, and business banking.
She has lived the majority of her life in the Navarre area and currently resides in Jackson Township.
