CECL implementation has been mind-bending at times. This webinar will share best practices, lessons learned, current guidance, typical methodologies, recommendations for success, and more. There will be extra time for questions, and as a bonus you can submit your questions to the speaker in advance! (See below for more details.) Don’t miss this unique opportunity.

AFTER THIS WEBINAR YOU’LL BE ABLE TO:

  • Understand how financial institutions have managed CECL so far
  • Identify the most typical methodologies used
  • Recognize the sections of CECL that vary from past ALLL methodologies, including unfunded commitments and securities portfolios
  • Avoid common errors made by financial institutions in executing CECL
  • Use up-to-date guidance from regulatory agencies on implementing CECL
  • Employ recommendations for successfully managing CECL in 2024

WEBINAR DETAILS

2023 was the first full year all financial institutions were expected to adopt CECL. To date, there has been fairly limited specific guidance from the regulatory agencies and accounting profession. This program will address how financial institutions have implemented CECL and explore the most common methodologies and implementation mistakes. CECL also includes some new concepts not in the prior incurred loss model, such as factoring in unfunded commitments and debt securities. Examples of how to cover these new requirements will be provided. This session will also share lessons learned from the frontlines, including regulatory exam and external audit findings and 2024 expectations. This will encompass suggestions for successful CECL management as you move forward.

Bonus: Because CECL implementation and management have generated many questions, there will be additional time allotted for Q&A. You may also submit your questions ahead of time to the speaker directly at [email protected] no later than April 19, 2024.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This informative session would best suit those responsible for managing CECL, including chief risk officers, chief financial officers, chief lending officers, and any other personnel responsible for managing the data, calculations, and analysis for your CECL process.

TAKE-AWAY TOOLKIT
