Vision 2020: Mobilizing the Experience of Banking
presented by Jon Michelsen and Troy Thompson of Fiserv
Why is mobilizing the experience of banking vital for growth in the coming years? According to a Cisco report, in 2014 mobile devices exceeded the number humans on earth. Over 70% of consumers under the age of 30 and 56% of consumers under 47 perform their banking through a mobile device at least once per year. Accenture’s consumer research indicates that more than 1 in 3 consumers think that online and mobile are the most important channels for banks to invest in over the next five years. An overwhelming majority (81%) said they would not switch banks even if their local branch closed. It is no longer a matter of proximity to the local branch that is driving consumer behavior, it is the Banks that are offering the best online and mobile experience.
